Orthotics
Custom orthotics are anatomically molded, medical devices worn under the heel and arch of your foot to correct many skeletal abnormalities. Orthotics have been utilized to:
- realign your feet to a natural “neutral” position to relieve foot, leg and back stress and any associated discomfort
- increase endurance
- restore proper balance
- improve sports performance
- alleviate foot fatigue
You may benefit from custom molded orthotics:
- if you are required to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- if you participate in any activity that places stress on your feet
- if you have a flat or high arch (or family history of such conditions)
- if you have misalignments, such as bow knees, knock knees, pigeon toes or duck feet
- if you have foot pain, especially along your heel, arch or balls of your feet
- if you have bunions or hammer toes
- if you have hip, low back, knee or ankle pain
